club CONSTITUTION
Club Objective
The club will arrange and support both football matches and social activities for all associated with the club.
Rules & Regulations
1. Club is affiliated to Norfolk County Football Association & will abide by their rules & regulations.
2. Club will abide by all rules & regulations of any league in which we compete.
3. Club will abide by the Football Association policies covering Child protection, Anti discrimination, Equal opportunities and codes of conduct ensuring all members full aware of them.
Club Membership & Fees
1. Members of the club will consist of all players, coaches, managers & committee members.
2. A membership list will be available to who ever may wish to see it.
3. The club will charge all players an annual fee to cover both training and playing, which the club’s committee at the AGM will decide.
Club Committee
1. Will consist of a chairperson, a secretary, treasurer & all team managers and trainers run by the club as a minimum.
2. Anybody can apply to join the committee in an acceptable role & will be elected democratically.
3. All members will be elected/re-elected at the club’s AGM
4. Meetings will be held regularly, but any member can call an emergency meeting if valid reasons exist.
Meetings & AGM
1. Club AGM will be held yearly and consist of :-
-Team season’s report
- Financial report
- Committee elections
- Any other Business
2. Regular committee meetings will be held to manage the club detail minutes will be taken.
Club Financial's
1. The club will maintain a bank account
2. The club will maintain detail accounts and produce an annual financial statement
3. The committee is empowered to authorise any payments to benefit the club.
4. Treasurer will keep the committee fully informed of the clubs financial situation.
Dissolution
A resolution to dissolve the club can only be proposed at the club’s AGM (or any emergency AGM) & must obtain 75% majority to be passed.
If dissolution occurs the committee will be fully responsible for the winding up of the club’s assets & liabilities.
Code of Conduct for Football
Football is the national game and all those involved whether as a players, officials, coaches or administrators have responsibility to act according to the highest standards of integrity to ensure the reputation of the game maintained.
Mattishall Youth Football Club will endeavor to achieve these values by ensuring: -
- Community fully involved
- Equality maintained at all times
- Encouraging full participation by all
- Setting good examples for young players
- High standard of financial and administrative behavior
- By installing both trust & respect
- By rejecting the use of violence
- Committing to the principle of playing to win consistent with fair play
Code of Conduct for Managers/Trainers/Club Officials
Mangers/trainers must pay particular care to the moral aspect of their conduct & disassociate themselves from a win-at-all-costs attitude while encouraging all to perform to the best of their abilities.
The health, safety, welfare & moral education of the young people are their first priority, before the achievement of the club.
Below is the code of conduct which the club’s managers, trainers & officials will abide by: -
- Respect the rights & worth of each individual
- Treat all people equally providing fair opportunities to play
- Place the well being & safety of all player’s first
- Develop a relationship with all of trust and respect
- Adhere to all guidelines laid down by governing bodies
- Support all & set a positive example for player to follow
- Respect all match officials
- Discourage the use of bad language
- Responsible to keep al parents, guardians & players fully informed
- Encourage & develop all players
- Avoid all forms of gamesmanship
- Endeavor to continuously move the club forward in all aspects
Code of Conduct for Players
Mattishall Youth Football Club encourages al players to abide by the following code of conduct: -
- Know & abide by the laws of the game
- Develop their own skills & perform to the best of their own abilities
- Play the game fairly
- DO NOT use bad language at anytime
- Show respect to managers & trainers by being punctual & advise when unable to attend
- DO NOT use any racist or sexist remarks
- Respect all match officials
- Respect opposition players and officials
- Accept success & failure, victory & defeat equally
- Show respect to supporters of all teams
Code of Conduct for Parents/Supporters
Mattishall Youth Football Club encourages all parents & supporters to abide by this code of conduct: -
- Encourage all players rather than criticise
- Set a positive example to be followed
- Respect all match officials and their decisions
- Respect opposition teams and supporters
- Support team managers
- DO NOT use bad language
- Be aware of the club’s Child protection policy

Mattishall Youth Football Club is responsible for setting standards & values to apply throughout the club at all levels. Our commitment is to confront & eliminate discrimination whether sexual, racial, ethnical, religious or against disability.

Club Complaints Procedure
The following procedure is in place to deal with any complaint raised against Mattishall Youth Football Club or any of its members.
- The matter must be reported to the club secretary or any other committee member including the following details:-
Who, What, Where, When
Witnesses
Names of any others involved
Indication of preference of potential solution
- The club’s committee will then fully investigate & rule on the complaint.
- If it is found any club rules or codes of conducts have been broken the committee will have has the powers to Warn, Suspend or Remove any members involved.
Child Protection Policy
Mattishall Youth Football Club is committed to the FA Child Protection Policy & will endeavor to ensure all managers & trainers have attended an appropriate child protection course.
The aims of the policy are:-
- To develop a positive and pro active position in order to best protect all children and young people who play football, enabling them to participate in an enjoyable and safe environment.
- The child’s welfare is, and must always be, the paramount consideration.
- All children and young people have a right to be protected from abuse regardless of their age, gender, disability, culture, language, racial origin, religious beliefs or sexual identity.
- All suspicions and allegations of abuse will be taken seriously and responded to swiftly and appropriately, in accordance of the Football Association’s Regulations which is defined in the FA handbook and Child Protection booklet.
- Treating any individual on grounds of gender, colour, marital status, race, nationality or ethnic or national origin, religion, sexual orientation or disability less favorably than others.
The club can obtain a copy of the FA child Protection Policy if requested via the club secretary. |
